Up to  4BLS - From and About Hamlet and MacbethUp to task document list

In the scene Hamlet speaks his mother. He is showing her two pictures one is his father's picture and the other is uncle's Claudius picture.

Hamlet's exchange dialogue is very long. There is a frequently used of the imperative: Hamlet is very angry with his mother and he uses a very aggressive tone in his speech (Look here, See…). In addition Hamlet employs the structure of a list to collected and compared the differences between the two characters. He also uses a climatic effect. In presenting different picture of his mother’s new husband Shakespeare doesn’t use the climatic effect of the previous presentation. Indeed/To tell truth he starts with the expression “here is your husband”.
All the features Hamlet makes his mother notice are negative. The use of rhetorical question (Have you eyes?) underlines Hamlet’s idea that his mother is unable to distinguish the real qualities of the two men. In addition Hamlet cannot accept that his mother may love Claudius. Besides begin an adolescent he thinks that at his mother’s ages passion should have disappear (the hey-day in the blood is same).
