She Dwelt Among The Untrodden Ways
The title prepare the reader to find something about a girl that live in untrodden ways.
This is a poetry genre and it is divided in three quatrain and it is a ballad. It was written with an archaic form, but with a simple language.
In this ballad there is a speaking voice that introduce a girl.
In the first stanza, this voice introduced the girl and described where she live with an external point of view.
in the second stanza, he compared girl with a violet half hidden and with a star. The author gave to the intelligent reader a positive idea of the girl and he also expressed her rarity and beauty.
In the third stanza, the voice said that no one know her and maybe it was afraid because in his opinion people had to know her. Furthermore he makes guess that Lucy, the girl, is dead and he missed her. The name of the girl was said only in the last stanza and this created curiosity into the reader.
The author used many sound devices. He also used the vowel sound to give the idea of opened and colsed spaces.
Run-on-lines have an eco-effect that remaind the reader at the mountains and metaphor and similes give judgements of this girl.
