Hi parents,

How are you?

I'm in a beautiful park in London and I'm writing you. I miss you! But
London is a fantastic city. Yesterday I went in the Globe theatre.
It's a modern reconstruction of Shakespeare's  original theatre. It
was built in 1599 by Shakespeare’s playing company.

There are other London's theatres. The Phantom of the opera, with its
costumes and special effect. It's really spectacular!

Tomorrow I will go to the British Museum. It's a world famous collection of
7.5 million objects. It's a museum dedicated to human history and
culture. There are 8 millions works. It illustrating and documenting
the story of human culture from its beginning to the present. It's
the largest building site in Europe. It has more than seven million
objects from all continents.

I'd like to do shopping today. London is the capital of shopping! Harrods
is a world famous department store with 330 different departments.
Oxford Street is famous for shopping too! It's over 2 kilometres long
and there are 300 shops! It's located in Brampton Road in Knights
bridge, in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.  The store
occupies 20,000 metres square. It's the biggest department store in
Europe.

Camden Market is famous for cool fashion and second-hand clothes. I cannot
wait to go there!

London's food is fantastic too! Here you can eat food from all over the world.
At Planet Hollywood you can have a great meal and watch famous film
clips on a big screen at the same time. I never go there!

I'd like to go to the Buckingham Palace. Is the official residence of the
Queen. There are  775 rooms and you can see the Changing of the
Guard. The rooms include 19 State rooms, 52 Royal and guest bedrooms,
188 staff bedrooms, 92 offices and 78 bathrooms. The building is 108
metres long and 24 metres high. More than 50,000 people visits the
Palace each year as guests to banquets, lunches, dinners, receptions
and the Royal Garden Parties.

The houses of Parliament opposite Parliament square are the home of the
British government. It's along the East Gallery that The Queen and
her State guests precess to the Ballroom for the State Banquets
normally held on the first day of the visit.

I love the London eye! It's beautiful! It's the heart of London.

It's a giant Ferris wheel on the South Bank of the River Thames. It's 135
metres tall and has a diameter of 120 metres. It's the currently
Europe's tallest Ferris wheel, the most popular paid tourist
attraction in the United Kingdom. There are over 3.5 million visitors
annually.

I like Portobello Road market. It's a street in the Notting Hill
district of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in west
London. It runs almost the length of Notting Hill from south to
north, parallel with Ladbrokes Grove. Every August since 1996 the
Portobello Film Festival has been held in location around Portobello
Road.

It's world-famous street market with Londoners and tourists. It's two
miles long and there are over two hundred stalls and lots of shops,
too. You can buy designer, second-hand clothes, jewellery, books,
antiques and lots of interesting things.

Also there are stalls hot food, and a wide choice of cafés, restaurants
and pubs.

Madame Tussaud's it's good, too! You can meet David and Victoria Beckham,
Nelson Mandela, the Queen and Albert Einstein. There are waxworks.
There are over two million visitors every year to see the models of
hundreds of historical figures, cultural icons and royalty.  It was
founded by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud and was formerly know as
“Madame Tussaud's”.

Tate Modern, instead, is the most spectacular modern art gallery. It is
the most-visited modern art gallery in the world, with around 4.7
million vistors per year.

There are work from 1900  by Dali, Picasso and Warhol. There are
magnificent views, especially from the cafés on level 7, and the
gallery is very popular with students. It's free!

In London there are different things to do. In Oxford is no as.

There aren't many places for teenagers. There's a cinema: a multiplex. It's
near the stadium. You can see all the new films there. There are some
university parks. They're really big. Guys often go there during the
summer. They like playing football and have a laugh there. There are
places to do sport, but guys prefer the university sports centre.
They're cheap.

There are some big chain stores in Oxford. There you can buy fashionable
clothes. But there aren't any  shops for teenagers.

There aren't any dance venues. They're all for guys of over eighteen years
old. There's a night club  for guys under eighteen years old.

There aren't any things for 14-16 years old to do.

There are fast foods restaurants, but they're expansive.

Teenagers haven't got  any money in Oxford.

Well, I must go to the hotel now.

Write me soon!

Best wishes!
