In the second tercet the speaking voice changes into a first person narrator and expresses a totally different opinion. In this tercet the poet speaks on behalf of all poets.
It goes without saying that the struncture of the poem is conceive of to give different opinion about the life of the words. Its function is to convey a point of view opposite of the other.
