The title of this text is “a word is dead”. It suggests the reader the poem will talk about what words are. The poetess uses the adjective “dead” to say that words are something alive and they have a biginning and a end. Looking at the text, the reader can immediately see that there are six lines. every line is very short, made of maximum 4 words. In the line 1 and 2, the reader can notice a rhyme between DEAD and SAID. also in the line 3 and 6 the reader can see the rhyme between SAY and DAY.  There is an enjambement with the word SAY (line 4) and THAT DAY (line 6). Using “bigins to live”, the poetess emphasizes the life and the death. this way she tells us the travel a word does from the beginning to end of its life.
