1 A) New Globe Theatre is situated in Bankside, London.

1 B) New Globe Theatre can be reached on foot, by bike, by underground, by train, by bus, by car and taxi, by boat, by hired coach.

1 C) You can book a performance online.


2 When I visit the exhibition, I can notice that it gives me some insights:

  • Opening hours and tickets;

  • Special exhibitions (special temporary exhibitions that change throughout the year.) ;

  • Gift experiences (Guided tour of the theatre);

  • Groups (Group bookings must be made via the Group Request Form downloadable from the downloads menu on the right.);

  • Combined group packages (Combine your group visit to the Globe Exhibition & Tour with one of many attractions along Bankside);

  • Travel trade (special entry rates to the Exhibition and Theatre Tour for Travel Trade partners).


3 A) London playhouses in the 16th and 17th century were : the Theatre, the Curtain, the Rose, the Swan, the Globe, the Fortune, the Blackfriars.



3 B) The Globe stands a few hundred yards from its original site. The rebuilding of the Globe was entrusted to the American actor and director Sam Wanamaker.


4 A) The decoration complied with play's theme.

4 B)The ' Heavens ' was a roof supported by the pillars and served to create an area hidden from the audience.

4 C)Behind the stage there was a wall called the ' Frons Scenae '.

4 D) The stage gallery covered the surface of the stage and was used by actors.
