Halloween traditions can be traced back to the times of the Celts.

This festivity is celebrated on the 31st of October: this night marked the end of the year for the Celts and they believed that the spirits of

people who had died during the year went to search a body to possess in the next year. So the living tried to turn their homes in uncomfortable places and they masqueraded to scare away the spirits.

Even now everybody wears customs like witches, devils, ghosts..

Also this celebration is famous because children walk all around the town knocking at the doors and saying: "Trick or treat", so people give them sweets, chocolate and sometimes they receive some money.    Every house is decorated with little ghosts, skeletons and is a tradition put a pumpkin with a candle burning inside in the garden: this is the most important symbol of Halloween.
