Poetry is the most complex textual form because it uses a specific macro
language.

Microlanguage is the peculiar use of words.

A symbol is something concrete that stands for something else that is
generally abstract.

A simile is a figure of speech which is generally used to better provide
and describe something.

A personification is a figure of speech in which poet gives attributes
and qualities in something no human. Generally personification creates a more
vivid image about what is told.

An irony is a figure of speech by means of which it said something
telling exact opposite. It is used to convey a situation less dramatic.

An imagery is an uncountable noun. It's a summa of all the images the
poet used. A suitable level is to discover the ways poet used language to make
reader to imagine. To imagine is to see things in your mind.

Intelligent people are those who are able to read between lines. Analyzing
is not summarizing. Analyzing is something like skannering. So the analysis of
a poem implies for the reader to understand why and for which reason somebody
has used the language that way and to explain why that use of language is
functional and suitable to convey messages.

An allusion is another figure of speech that makes an indirect reference
to something or somebody.

An alliteration is the repetition of the same consonant sounds.

An assonance is the same vowel sounds.

What is the function of create a fluent language? The function is to
suggest what is been told and to stick it on reader's mind.

Why did I sing Latin today for you? People sang Latin in church during mass.
It was the language of religion. People from all classes went to church to pray
God because they wanted salvation of soul. Latin was the original language of
church. They had no literacy.

Illiterate person is one who can't read or write.

How could they sing Latin if they didn't know language? They learnt by
heart and believed in what they did.

What gave meaning to the praying? Their faith did, they believed that
when they sang their effort gained in meaning and in value.

This is the way literature started. Literature started as an oral form:
it wasn't written.

How could people remember? Poet had to use a language in a way people
could remember. Bard and mistrals had to make what they composed memorable.
Therefore they used language in a way similar to today's songs: they used a lot
of alliterations, assonances, rhymes, refrains and incremental repetition. The
incremental repetition is when you repeat something changing just a bit of it.
In this way people could remember and they could sing and dance together.

Literature is the expression of the community. People had community
parties in which they sang and danced.

Oral poetry were handed over from generation to generation. Language was
concrete, simple and the topics of such literature were strictly connected to
their lives.

What was the most typical form of popular poetry? It was ballad.

What happened when all these attitude of dancing and singing entered in
Germanic world? When Christianity entered in Britain's world, it entered
through Ireland by Saint Augusto. Christianity promises salvation, it provides
people a reason to live.

Literature is the expression of community and church. People go to
church on Sunday because that day you celebrate the day of sun. Sun according
to pre-roman religion, is a fertile principal. What people did was in tune with
cycle of light.

Congregation inside of church: people went to church to celebrate mass,
the Jesus's death. This is considered the first theater in Europe.
