THIS IS MY SCHOOL!

Dear John,

Today I’m writing to tell you about my new school. This year I attend “ Liceo Scientifico  A.E. ”, a grammar school with a branch in Sciences. It is in Cervignano ; Cervignano is in the North- East of Italy, it is one hour train from Triest.

It is a rectangular school; its colour is brick-red.

Now, I’m telling you about a typical school day of mine; every day I get up at 6.30. my mother drives me to the bus. At the bus-stop I meet my friends and I generally wait for ten minutes, before catching the bus. It takes me twenty minutes to get to school.

Now, here below you can read my school typical timetable.

8.20              9.20              FIST PERIOD

9.20             10.20             SECOND PERIOD

10.20           11.15             THIRD   PERIOD

11.15           11.20              BREAK

11.20           12.20              FOURTH  PERIOD

12.20            13.20             FIVETH PERIOD OF LESSON

Three times a week lessons finishes at 12.20 p.m. ( Mondays, Tuesdays, Saturdays ), but on Mondays, Thursdays and on Fridays I go home at 13.20.

At a quarter past eleven there is a break. It lasts five minutes.

You can have a sandwich, have a snack at the bar or a drink, meet your friends or have a chat.

Unluckily the break is very short and sometimes the toilette are so crowded.

As you know I attend a grammar school that specializes in information technology and I have a lot of subjects like Maths, information Technology and English, but I also have to study others subjects: Italian, History, Sciences, Arts, PE and Geography. My favourite subjects are Maths and English.

Today, I’m telling you about my favourite friend. His name is Federico; he has blue eyes and blond hair. He is friendly and serious. He is good at school. His favourite subjects are Arts and PE.

He is a good friend.
