Halloween is an American celebration. It has got Celtic origines and it was originally celebrated on the night of the 31st of October that was the end of the year. people thought that on that night thesoul and the spirit of dead people came back to find a new body. They were afraid to meet them and, as a result, they tried to make spirit afraid wearing strange clothes. Celtic people moved to America because of a great hunger and from that day on this festivity has been part of the American culture. Now a days people cut pumpkins with strange faces and they put them out of the door with a candle inside, children go around the city wearing frightening clothes. They ask “trick or treat?” and people usually give them candies, sweets or money. people organize parties all over the world and cook traditional dishes to celebrate Halloween.
