Language used in chapter four and five
	
In the start Changez is focusing the reader's attention on his scar, the intelligent reader should wonder why the narrator made us focusing on the scar. Chagez explain that his scar was "rather prosaic" (banale). Changez comparse the two cultures, Lahore has a problem:"shortage of electricity" that cause blackouts". Interesting is to notice this episode, compares the two cultures, Hamid shows the difference of mentality between the two cultures. 
In Pakistan non c'è fondamentalismo di mercato. 
The Pakistan mentality seems to be rather poor, they don't change situation in their hands. Though the narrator words the reader can understand how Old Anarkali is. In this way the intelligent readers understand that the Pakistani is aware of the differences of decorations. 
Attraverso queste cose ci rendiamo conto della consapevolezza critica del narratore. 
"At the start of the twenty-four century" people still get amazed by the "theatrical" use of lights. New York viene vista come la culla di tutte le culture.
