3-The Romans brought with them different aspects of civilisation like a regular network of streets, the transformation of the towns into centres of commercial activities and the organisation of the space in the town (forum,basilica and public baths).

1-The Romans involved the conquered tribes in the administration of the province.
2-The Romans encouraged the growth of towns near their army bases and established special towns as settlements for retired soldiers.
3-The Romans persuaded Celt's aristocratrics to build town dwellings and turned towns in centres of commercial activity.

5-Every town had public baths which were open to both sexes and served as a healing spa and meeting place.

7-The first 'London Bridge' was built by the Romans across river Thames and was a convenient central point for the new network of roads.
8-Londinium was the settlement of the Romans on the north side of the bridge, and became an important trading centre.
