Here I am in New Work. I’m staying at Greenwich Village. The hotel is at  the end of a little road in Mercer Street and Thompson Street. It’s quite near Union square, which is about  five minutes’ walk away. My room is on the third floor and I’ve got a great view of the street on. there are lots of cafès, restaurants and shops near here. In fact, there’s a fantastic Italian restaurant on the other side of the street. It’s called Luigi’s. and there’s a great little cafè next to  Luigi’s. I think they’re owned by the same person, actually. The cafè’s got some tables and chairs outside on the terrace and it’s a great place to sit and watch the world go by- if it’s not raining, of course! And if it is raining, it’s pretty cool inside , with lots of interesting art on the walls and books to read.

I go out of my house, turn left and walk to the corner. I go past the shops and I then turn left through gate  and across the park. I walk across the park. I then go over the bridge and I walk along the river bank for a short distance. I then go over  the road, under the railway bridge, round the corner und up the hill, which is quite  tiring. I then turn left onto  Green Street and the school is on the left. I take some route in reverse to come back from school to my house. Sometimes in the morning I take the bus to school. I get onto the bus near my house and get off the bus outside the shops near the school.

Last summer we went to Italy. We drove from London to Bari. We went across France and Switzerland and round the east coast of Italy. We went to Greece for our holidays last year. It was amazing when we flew over  the Alps. We then hired a car at Athens airport and drove to Athens in  the south of Greece. It was exciting when we drove across the bridge that goes over the Corinth Canal. The canal was about 100 metres below us.

We went to a small island in the North of England called Holy Island. When the tide is low, you can drive around  the island on  a narrow road. The island is very small: you can walk on the way around  it in a few hours. It’s my favourite place England.
