Signs of Anglosaxons in the two Beowulf's extracts.
In the two extracts:”Beowulf and Grendel:the fight” and “Beowulf's funeral” readers can find lots of signs of Anglosaxon culture:in “Beowulf and Grendel:the fight” we can find some Anglosaxons' values like loyalty and courage,we can also understand that they were warriors.The two texts also tell us something about their religion:they had a dicotomic vision of life (evil in opposition with good).In the first extract the narrator tell us that they lived in castles or fortified houses.The second extract is about Beowulf's funeral and readers can find out information about Anglosaxon's funerals:celebrating heroes dead was important and was a way to exalt their deeds.

The narrator used lots of kennings and alliterations to make memorisation easier and create images in readers' minds.In addition he used words of the semantic field of war or traditional rites like funerals.Narrator also point up the descriptions and soundsn to impress scenes in readers' minds.
