Dear diary,
It is 7am and the alarm clock has just rung. It annoys me to wake up but it is too late and I will probably miss the bus.
Today is Wednesday and my classmates have already spent 3 days in Dublin. They left on Sunday from Venice Airport.
Unfortunately, I could not go because I was sick so I have to stay at home.
I am very sad because the experience could help me to improve my English and open my mind.
When I finish my breakfast I go to the bathroom quickly, I put on my clothes, I wash my face and I brush my teeth.
It is too late, so my mum drives me to the bus stop. The weather is fine, because it is not raining and the sun is rising.
At the bus stop I do not find Gessica. Every morning she used to wait for me and we caught the bus together, but this morning she is not here.
She is in Ireland but it seems strange to me not see her. She always arrives earlier than me and keeps a seat on the bus next to the window so I can watch outside.
I think about my friends. I hope they have fun and are enjoying themselves. I wonder what they are doing now.
Yesterday they told me that their family was very kind and hospitable. They are learning a lot about Irish culture and lifestyle.
They also told me that the Irish English is different from the English we study at school.
When the bus arrives at school at 8.15am I meet Daisy. She is waiting for me at the entrance. She is speaking with another girl and she is smiling.
I greet her and together we go into our classrom. We decide to study for our German test.
There we meet Benedetta. We start to talk about our classmates who are abroad. The time runs slowly and we are really curious to know what they are doing and how they are spending their time.
If I were with them I could improve my English, make experiences and meet new people from different nationalities and other cultures.
At 1.20pm the bell rings and I go back home.
For lunch I find a smoking dish of pasta and I think about my mates who are having their miserable packed lunches. In this case I feel luckier!
After lunch I would like to lie on the sofa to read a book. I am so tired because last night I did not sleep enought so I am happy to stay at home.
It is 5pm! it is late! Hurry up I think.
I put on my trainers, I pack my bag and I fill up my water bottle fastly: it is tennis time.
After the training I come back home and I have a shower: I feel better so I want to send a text message to Gessica and Sofia.
They have just come back from an exciting evening. They and the other guys have just gone to an Irish restaurant to taste the typical Irish food.
I am very happy for them, but I am so sad. This is an unforgetable experience could not live. They are very lucky because they could meet new people from an other country, improve their English, learn what life is like abroad and open their mind to Irish lifestyle.
I hope the same experience might be repeted one day so that I can take part.
