    We are staying with my cousins in San Francisco. What about you?

A Oh, we aren’t having a big holiday this year. Maybe a few short trips here and there.

  1. A Richard and I are going for a pizza tonight. Do you fancy coming with us?

B I’d love to, but I’m seeing Lara tonight. She is coming round to my house at about 6.30 and then             we are going out, maybe to see a film. Do you want to come with us?

A Thanks, but as I said, I am going for a pizza with Richard. Say “Hi” to Lara, though.

  1. A Are you doing anything this weekend?

B My cousin is getting married on Saturday. In Paris, actually.

A A weekend in Paris. Nice!

B Well, we aren’t staying very long. We are flying there on Saturday morning and we are coming back first thing on Sunday.

Nicole: Hello, Nicole speaking.

Angelina: Hi Nicole. It’s Angelina. Are you busy on Friday? I’ve got so much to tell you.

Nicole: I’m pretty busy, actually. I’m meeting my personal trainer at the gym a ten. And then, I’m getting my hair done at 11.30.

Angelina: OK, how about lunch then?

Nicole: I’d love to, but I’m meeting Keira for lunch.

Angelina: And the afternoon?

Nicole: Well, I’m having an audition for Spielberg at three. And then at five I’m collecting Johnny from the studio.

Angelina: Dinner?

Nicole: Sorry, but I’m having dinner with Jude.

Angelina: Saturday?

Nicole: Well, at 8.30 I’m meeting Orlando at the airport and then at ten we are flying to Cannes for the film festival. Maybe one day next week.

Angelina: I’ll call you buy.

I need to ask Mrs Newton something about my assigment.

I do to. I’m going to make an appointment with her for Thursday or Friday afternoon.

Yes, I’m going to York.

That’s nice. I like York. What are you doing there?

My sister lives there. It’s her birthday on Saturday, so she’s having a party. My brother’s going, too.

How are you getting there? Are you driving?

No, we’re going by train. There’s a train on Friday afternoon.

Anyway, are you being back here on Sunday evening? I was thinking we could see a film or something.

I don’t think I’ll be able to, I’m afraid. We probably get back late on Sunday evening. But if we’re back in time, I’ll let you know.

OK, great. Have a goodtime and say “ Happy birthday” to your sister for me.

  1. A.  it’s Bella’s birthday on Friday. We’ve organized a surprise party for her.

B. don’t worry- I don’t tell her. But I think she will go out with her family on Friday evening.

A. that’s ok. The party is being on Saturday, at my house.
