Dear Sir or Madam,

I haven't been living in this town for long, but I have already noticed some important things about it. First of all, some local people have just decided to open a new youth club on a volunteer basis. This is very positive for young people, but I see that your newspaper hasn't reported the fact. Also, there is an excellent art club and a music group which has recently opened an exhibition. But no publicity from you! Why haven't you reported this event? Another good thing about this town is the sports centre – people of ages have been going to lessons since 1998 when the centre opened: but why haven't you informed the public about these lessons in your newspaper?

Please give more space to local events!

Your faithfully,

Julia Brown.
