School rules

Most people agree that you can't male a person do something if he or she doesn't really want to do it. Does this mean, however, that we should let young people do whatever they choose? Complete freedom sounds like a good idea, but it can also let people feel confused. On the other hand, if you want them to understand what is suitable behaviour, then set of rules is probably necessary. A good set of rules in a school, for example, will let the students know what is not allowed, and why. And if you want them to obey the rules, it is a good idea to let the students play a part ik deciding what the rules should be.
