The play "Hamlet" is set mainly in the castle of Elsinore (in Denimark) both outside and inside of it. It is a medieval setting.
The first act starts outside, near the castle in the night. The night produces a dark and disturbing atmosphere, tool used by the poet to creating sunspance and mystery. In addiction in this place there was a dialogue between Francisco and Bernando about a ghost, an other element of disturbing and fear. When the Ghost leaves the scene, you enter in the second one, that is set during the day and indoor (in the castle).
The third scene is set indoor too, in Poloniu's house, but you don't know anything about the time.
The fourth scene is outdoor the castle, in the night (indeed the ghost returned).
The fifth scene is outdoor and in the night too, and is an important scene because the ghost of King Hamlet wanted speak to his son Hamlet about his death.
