LBravo - homework 09/01/2019
The narrative voice is a third person narrator who narrates according to Nazneen's point of view. Consequently, the narration relies more on telling, but sometimes it shows facts, in order to give the reader a higher possibility to reason upon the main themes, that deal with three main concepts: Fate (does it exist? How does it act?), how easily men illude themselves (for example, Nazneen thought that her husband really loved her) and how they adapt to situations that are not ideal for them (for example, Chanu decided to marry Nazneen only for opportunism, and not because she was his ideal wife; this is underlined by Nazneen's expression “better any wife than no wife”). |
