THE CELTS
The Celts were a group of Indo-European peoples; united from its ethnic and cultural origins, from the sharing of the same Indo-European linguistic background and from the same religious vision, the Celts always remained politically divided. They settled in 27 different locals, forming a population of about one million people with an average life expectancy. Indeed these people lived for about 35-40 years and many of them lost one or both parents by 15. They didn’t have a very varied diet, indeed they fed mainly of bread, stew, porridge and they drank beer. To move from place to place they went on foot, with the currach when they had to travel by sea or with an horse-draw chariot when they had to move overland. Their coins were minted by different rulers and acquired through trade and gift. The first was coined in 10 AD, the second in 40 AD and the third in 41 AD. |
