Warning Just considering the title I expect the poem to be about something you should look out for. The layout made me understand that the text is a poem and shows the composition consists in 22 lines arranged in 4 stanzas. The first stanza consists in 11 lines, the second and the third stanza consist in 4 lines (quatrain), instead the last stanza consists in 3 lines (tercet). The speaking voice tells that when she will be old that is when all can be justified by the fact that at this age nobody care about you, she will let herself finally go wasting her pension money and wearing unusual outfits, because when you are young, you're not justified from doing all of these things. You can find the alliteration of the letter “s” to create the idea of a lament. The run-on-lines made the reading faster and underline a list of things that you can do when you are old and another one of things that you have to do when you are younger. Moreover you can find and ironic and thoughtful tone.
