Child labour is a violation of human rights beacuse human rights are inherent to all human beings, regardless of age, sex, nationality, language, religion, or any other status. Moreover human rights include the right to life, liberty, freedom from slavery, freedom of opinion and expression, the right to have an education, and many more. Surely child labour admits slavery because the majority of the children labourers are too young, not paid and work in antigenic conditions.

Factories employ children becuase they search for malleable, quick and small hands to work rapidly and efficaciously.
-What could be done to help solve the problem?
Surely providing a good education to all the children in the world without any discriminations would be the very ideal solution.
-What could you do as a person and as a school?
As a school it should be requested to integrate immigrants and instruct them, maybe with the help of language classes. Especially, as people we all should be more informated about actuality and criticize publicly and entire and wrong way of thinking: money should come after people.

I live in Italy and here child labour is illegal.

Children can go to work at the age of 16 years old but they can achieve a work contract at the age of 18.

Children can leave school at the age of 16 years old, after the conclusion of the third year of high school.

I don’t know any exact figure about illegal child employment in my country butchild labour is surely present even in Italy, involving atleast 340,000 children under 16, of who 28,000 are involved inactivities very dangerous, for example in agricultural labours (especially in South Italy).

Europe has drafted a document in regars of the rights of the Children. It estabilishes standards like promotion, protection and provide. ALso the organisation Save the children deals with this fragile matter.
