Information about Celts

The Celts lived in the island firstly. They were divided into 27 different tribes. They were about a million and the life expectancy was around 35-40 years. Probably the were always involved in wars or killed by illnesses. As the consequence, most of young people lost one or both parents by 15.

They used to have bread, porridge, stew and beer. They probably used to hunt and pick up whatever they found. They got around by currach in the rivers and coasts, by the chariot in countryside and, the poorest, by the foot. They rarely used coins, because they use to trade products and animals.
