NUMERO 6

Someone asked me about Brighton yesterday and here’s my blog entry about that beautiful town which I happened to visit two weeks ago on a school trip. Brighton is on the south coastof England. If you travel by train, it will take youaround 45 minutes from London Victoria. Trains runevery 20 minutes, so you’ll have a full-day sightseeingand still get back to London at a reasonable time. So I definitely suggestgoing by train. Brighton is a lovelyplace, full of interesting architecture. The most famous historic attractionsare the Royal Pavilion and the Brighton Pier. The Royal Pavilion is a fantastic oriental palace built by George IV in 1815. The Palace helped make Brighton a fashionable resort. Have lunch at the Sussex Yeoman, a pub serving local specialities. They are delicious. In the afternoon, if you feel like shopping, The Lane’s a busy area of small streets offering a wide selectionof antique shops selling old things and vintage clothes at excellent prices. If you are tired, the Pier is a great place to stay for a while. I think a visit to this celebrated Pier is a must. I would definitely recommendsitting there and relax while the sun goes down into the sea! You’ll really enjoyit.
