Is a matter of fact that children’s personality changes according to their age and to the people they meet.

In the first place, when they are very young their parents play an extremely important role because their children are very dependent on them, they see the world with their parents’ eyes.

Secondly, when they go to school, they met new people such as teachers and others children. Peer pressure has not an important role in the first years of school, because children are mostly influenced by teachers when they are very young.
Only when they start going to secondary school peer pressure starts playing a considerable role by getting them to do such unusual things for a teenager like starting to smoke or consuming alcohol. All this because they start being part of a group, so they want to be accepted and to show themselves strong to others’ eyes.

On the other hand peer pressure may have a positive influence on teenagers because it teaches them on how to fit in a group and to be sociable with people. It also can lead to a sort of school “competition” between the members of the group, so they will work hard to do better than their mates.

In conclusion, children’s personality changes owing to the people they stay and live with, they are really influenced by the kind of people they see. This can be extremely negative because it can lead them to poor performances, aggressive behaviour, vandalism… But it can also be positive as I already said. Despite the negative aspects personality change is necessary because it makes children grow.
