Hi, Sarah,

How are you? I hope fine. Lately I’ve thought a lot about what I want to be and I’ve decided that when I grow up I’d like to be an astronomer.

Being an astronomer must be amazing, you have so many possibilities to study, like, whatever you want.

You can observe almost everything your telescope permits you to; but, honestly, I think the best thing about being an astronomer is talking to other astronomers about new projects and discovers. Isn’t it interesting?

I’ve always loved astronomy, since I was 4 years old, when I found an astronomy book for kids at my grandmother’s house, after that I was really fascinated about everything that’s about stars and planets, galaxies and the Universe: I find it extremely interesting and I want to know as much as I can about it.

I guess I’ll have to study a lot of physics (I suck at physics) but if I find the way to make it look interesting I’m going to make it. I’ll even have to choose an important college, maybe I’ll have to look at it in other countries, but it could be great the same.

Most of the people I know says astronomers never tell the truth because it could scare the global population, actually, it could be, it wouldn’t be that strange if the government of some states around the world hides a terrible discover to don’t scare the people, I would understand that. But, honestly, I don’t think they hide us the truth, I trust all what they say, otherwise they wouldn’t tell that, wouldn’t they?

The adults of today say teenagers will never do something useful, they’ll never discover something amazing and they’re never going to do useful thing for all their lives, like, working in a McDonald’s. I really, really, want to demonstrate they’re wrong, I’ll make an amazing discover that’ll change the lives of everybody, like, forever, and I’ll be remembered in all the history books.

Maybe our generation isn’t one of the bests, but, actually, is it our fault? Or is it the ones who governs our state now?

I’ll be an astronomer, one of the greatest ever, I’ll make several amazing discovers and I’ll prove that our generation isn’t that bad as it seems.

But now, what about you? What are you going to be when you’ll grow up?

Please answer me soon, I’m really curious to know.

Bye, Joe.
