The listening of Unit 3 tells about people who were caught by surprise by an illness or an accident. Here are three examples. The first guy talks about the one time he was at a Formula 1 race and he and other people were involved in a car accident. The second person is a girl who talks about the time she was going back home when she saw a giant bear crossing the treet in front of her and remained as still as a statue. The last example is about a boy that was diagnosed with mumps the day of his graduation ceremony. In my opinion the message of this listening is that at times people are caught by surprise by terrible accidents or diseases. People must be more careful from what they're sorrounded by. Danger is around the corner. I also think sometimes things that we don't expect such as illnesses happen and they mess our plans up but we have to remain calm.
