LISTENING OF UNIT 1

Listening of unit 1 is about an interview between a tv presenter and a psychologist , Julia Parker.

The topic is how and why children’s personality changes in the first years of their lives.

Julia Parker says that firstly, their families have a considerable influence on children’s character. They are very dependent of their parents.

When they go to school they meet new people and they would play a considerable role and their personality is gradually changing in many ways.

They start to challenge their parents’ autorithy and they demand more independence.

Furthermore , their school performance can have a positive influence or a negative influence. In this case , the results are aggressive behavior , vandalism , smoking and drinking.

Finally , Julia Parker suggest to parents and teachers to cooperate to help teenagers.
