Text on the importance of taking notes

Today we are repeatedly confronted with the problem of taking notes.

The ability to take notes and process them to make them understandable to everyone is a capacity that unfortunately not everyone have but that everyone can and must develop.

This is something that can be used by anyone in life, not just for students.

It is certainly better for students to take notes on their own to learn how to schematize things and focus on key concepts, leaving out less important things.

Indeed, if the students were always given notes or power points, these wouldn’t learn anything because they would always find things ready and therefore wouldn’t be challenged in the first person.

Also because, when taking notes, it is important to use one's own language and personal methods: highlight the most important words, focus on the key words, use arrows and patterns.

From the last experience I have done I understand that there are various ways of taking notes; I learned to use a different method of taking notes from what I had before and I got better results with the study.

Initially I took too many notes and I didn’t focus only on the basic concepts, but now I have learned to schematize better and to take notes as a list, not as a text.

I think in primary school teachers have to teach how to take notes so as to get to middle school and then to high school with a good method of study.

Finally, I think the notes are essential especially nowadays because I think they teach us to focus only on the things that matter and not to be influenced by everything we hear.
