ARGUMENTATIVE TEXT

Today we are repeatedly confronted with the problem of taking notes. I agree with the previous quotation, because even in my opinion the notes are used to remember the topics addressed. Indeed, when you take note, you process what you listen to, writing it in your own words and when you subsequently review the notes you will be able to make some reasoning about it and resetting them will help to remember the information. If you take notes correctly it will be easier to reach the goal, in fact if they are well organized it will then be easy to create a job about that topic.

Rewriting the notes is also very important, as it will help you remember them better, in fact it is the writing process that makes you memorize more information. This is because the mind is obliged to focus on the subject without the risk of distractions.

So taking notes is important in the school environment and in daily life and work as it allows us to remember and review the topic treated at home. The problem is that taking notes is not easy, often many people confuse taking notes with the summary, that is a filter between the speaker and your own written product where there is an interpretation.

Mainly the notes are used to remind something to somebody , to make somebody point clear or to build a logical thread that allows us to understand the topic.

Taking notes is a great way to save time and effort at home (in the case of school environment). It also mainly need to improve the quality of your learning. In fact, it is a matter of immediately re-elaborating the topic you are taking about and making it your own. Take notes need to: at school to remember the topics explained by the teacher, to study them later at home and integrate them with other information, but in everyday life and work need to remember something to do, remember a conference, prepare a work to be exhibited…

Taking notes is a subjective matter, in fact everyone will be better in one respect than in another. From the general point of view, it is advisable to: first of all listen carefully to the topic, write the title, the purpose and the speaker (in the conference session), write the information in your own words and don’t write mechanically, keep a correct hierarchy of information and focus on the main topic. Then is convenient to make a correct list of quantitative and qualitative aspects of the topic discussed, write the key words, highlight the important parts, use nominal sentences and simple language. Make a list of open questions and report examples. It is also advisable to use graphic organizers (arrows, lists ...) and last but not least to build a guideline to center the main theme.
