I consider macbeth like a hero because he was a strong brave warrior, and he was very loyal to his king.

When they returned from the battle they met three witches who told to them the future: Macbeth would became king of Cowdor and of Scotland and Banquo's soons would became next kings.
So Macbeth wrote a letter to his wife, Lady Macbeth , to tells her that the three witches they told to him he is becaming king, but with infamy.
Then Lady Macbeth and Macbeth wanted to murder the king Duncan to reinforce Macbeth's power and then to kill also Banquo, who is a general how Macbeth.

The doctor and gentleman discusse about Lady Macbeth's behaviour and the conclusion is: she has some natural and psicological problems.
Macduff and Malcolm raised an army against Macbeth.

It is a fascinating play. It shows a tragic man that doesn't stop in fron off base actions to realize his umbridled ambitions.

Some times before, Macbeth met again the three witches. The second prophecy was: "Macbeth would be killed only when he would see the forest of Birnam marching toward him and his murderer wuold be not born by a woman."
When Lady Macbeth died, the noble knight decided to move war to obtain the throne of Scotland. He fought against Macduff, who revealed him to be not woman-borned. Saying that, Macduff cut his head and, like this, the noble knight Macbeth was dead.
So, the prince Malcolm could return in his Reign and become the new King of Scotland.

In my opinion Macbeth can't be considered a hero because he hate and killed for his power thirst.
A hero generally is brave and in the end die like him, but he is not a positive person because he makes bad actions.

Macbeth is an interesting tragedy of Shakespeare. T
he three witches are three medieval figures and in this photo they are represented like three men.
I'm curious about those witches because they have a strange influence in the Macbeth's life.

I think Macbeth isn't a real hero: he can be considered a hero because he's nearly invincible but he cannot be a hero because he killed a lot of guiltless people.

They told him he couldn’t be killed by a beaver-son. In the end MacDuff killed MacBeather because MacDuff had been kidnapped from his beaver mother when he was a child.

I think that Macbeth is a really strong warrior, a hero. But in the end he doesn't get how he wants. he was killed.

The battle ended with the clash between Macduff and Macbeth. The three witches told that Macbeth could be killed by a god’s son… but he didn’t know who really was Macduff!!! At the end Macduff killed Macbeth.
Malcolm was crowned king of Scotland and after that there would be peace in the kingdom… and everybody lived happy and content…

Hero usually has a positive connotation and you can't consider Macbeth a righteous person.

Macbeth enquired for suggestion to his lady about the prophecy and his destiny, so she urged him to kill Duncan and became king. Macbeth did it. He killed the king and blamed two guards. After that, Macbeth was worried because he was afraid that Banquo, who knowed the prophecy, would have blamed him.
That’s why the king killed his best friend. Anyway Macbeth was afraid, so he went to the three witches and they told him that no one man woman-born could kill him but he would pay attention to Macduff. Meantime the noble families of Scotland got the facts so moved against the king, but he was not worried because he thought of being invincible. During the battle Macbeth met Macduff and the first was sure he wouldn’t lose, but Macduff revealed that he had been taken out of his mother womb prematurely: Macduff won the battle and killed Macbeth.
Malcolm, Banquo’s son, was elected king of Scotland.

As soon as Macbeth saw what was happening, he knew he was going to die, but he fought anyhow and was killed in battle.

I agree that Macbeth isn't a hero: he is just described like a hero.
First of all, I think heroic means virile: he has been pulled to do the omicides by his woman; this is not very virile!
In addition to this, he hasn't also a good psicological strenght.
He need a lot of approvation, too: he always ask for witches' opinion.
So, I hadn't been surprised that he died in the end.

Macbeth is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare (1606, England). It is so known because it gathers themes, like “the corrupting nature of unchecked ambition”, “ the relationship between cruelty and masculinity”, “ the difference between kingship and tyranny”.
More over a modern reader can find an other topic: “wickedness over family relationship”. I think the reading would be interesting because the play is organized in a complex structure of themes; symbols (blood and the weather) that are used to represent abstract ideas or concepts; motifs (hallucinations, violence and prophecy) that can help the reader to understand themes.
And last but not least all that is connected to historical elements and characters (King Macbeth of Scotland).

Macbeth is not a hero but in the first part of the story the reader is deceived because Macbeth is described as a hero when he turn back to the war against the rebel Macdonwald.
Macbeth truly is obsessed by the power,he is ready to kill everyone on his way.
Shakespeare,I think,wants to give a message to the reader:there is not gain without pain in fact Macbeth and his Lady are consumed by the feeling guilty: he can't sleep and she tries to wash the blood on her hands over and over again.
In the end they will die as they were punished by God for their cruel actions.

Even though Macbeth is initially portrayed as a valiant hero (as a matter of fact he fights courageously against Duncan's enemies), his ambition and his influential wife make him behave as an evil, unscrupolous man.
He can, however, be seen as a tragic hero because he follows his destiny to its tragic end, knowingly and fearlessly.

Macbeth is an hero because he did something that normal people never do.
He is tragic hero because he did the worst he could, betraying his original loyalty and bravery.
He remains an hero because was submitted to the will of events.

Macbeth isn’t a great king or a great personality, however he is showed such as an hero in the battlefield.
No matter he is devote, meek, good, fair and lenient and he is admire for his action.
He is a hero also because he knows what he wants and he is successful in his objective.

The courageous, the power in battles, his generosity makes him a hero. But I don’t think he is truly a hero, because he shows a lot of defects. For example he kills a lot of person, and this is not a typical characteristic of a hero.

I think Macbeth is a real hero because he fights in battles for his king, and because of his militar strength he is nominated count and, after that, king. In addition to this, he is very loyal, brave andgenerous, as an hero should be, so I think he can be considered an hero.

Macbeth can be considered a hero because is a corageous warrior.
He has got a big interior force:moral and physicological , gifted also of enormous physical ability.
A hero is he that sacrifices his life to other.

Macbeth can be considered a hero because he is a brave warrior but he is also a traitor: he kills Duncan and his friend Banquo to become king. In the end his regrets torture him and death is almost a liberation. The William Rimmer's painting is woorying and it communicates the idea of fear.

It is a fascinating play. It shows a tragic man that doesn't stop in fron off base actions to realize his umbridled ambitions.

You can consider Macbeth a hero because, after becoming the king of Scotland, he was a strong warrior.
He was also brave, generous and his most important quality was the loyalty to his king.

"Macbeth" is a very beatiful drama and it is written in a very fluent way.
In this way the writer can imagine the setting of the story and the caratheristics of the characters.
The William Rimmer's painting rappresents three witches in their moment of a conjuring.It makes me feel very scared but that light in the sky is a sort of hope.

"Macbeth" is a quite drama of the both shakesperian and elizabethan view and it probabily owes its success to its protagonist's complex and tortuose nature and he has himself in the same one time unsure, timorous and then ferociously rent by the remorses

I think that the tragedy of Shakespeare is very interesting.I am curious about the witches.
In fact the picture of William Rimmer is attractive and evocative... but it worries me!!

I think that Macbeth is a hero for his determination and his cunning, but however he doesn't get that he wants. The picture of the three witches is so worrying and it gives the idea of fear.
