The area is conceived of as a container of SS's reflection and study on the development of the novel and it cross-subject links Starting from D. Defoe, S. Richardson and H. Fielding, SS will be guided to follow the development and eventual trans-formation of the genre.
Also the study of the historical background of the period previous and contemporary to the novelists'production will be included in the present area.
The area is mainly devouted to gather materials, files and SS' studying documents on the most relevant novelists of the 18th century.
