EXERCISE 1)
A- Duncan is going to be killed by Macbeth with a dagger at Macbeth’s castle. B- The original plan for the murder is to kill Duncan when while he is sleeping. After that he had to give the guilt to the chamberlains. C- The execution differs from the original plan because when Macbeth kills Duncan the chamberlains say: "Amen" and "God bless us" and he hears them. Therefore Macbeth hears a voice saying: "Sleep no more! Macbeth does murder sleep". It is an hallucination, but Macbeth don’t understand and his determination collapses.

EXERCISE 3)
Red and black are the most important colours. Duncan's blood is symbolized by red. This colour symbolizes also Lady Macbeth's obsession. Black is death's colour. The colours create the suitable background and the atmosphere of the play.


EXERCISE 4)
The attitude of the audience is to consider the characters very ambitious and determined. In my opinion Macbeth loses his image of hero: he makes bad actions during the play. He isn’t a positive character.
