FBernardini: Feedback on C. P. Snow's Quotations
[author: Francesco Bernardini - postdate: 2007-03-29]
I thought so much after having read the quotations. In particular I think that the quotation containing the sentence “The feeling of one pole become the anti-feelings of the other” is still meaningful and could also be actualized in politics and in other fields, like for example Italy’s parliamentarian bipolarity is organized into a structure of “hating your opposite”, not sustaining the president of your coalition, or better, sustaining him just to weaken the opposite.
And so everything that was not scientific suddenly turned into anti-scientific.
I think that this is very important because the role of sciences and humanities should be interacting, the two shouldn’t fight one against the other.
