Her name was Madame Eglantine and she was a nun.

  • physical appearance:

    She had  well-shaped nose, her eyes were blue-grey, a tender, small and red mouth and a fine forehead; for sure she was not a small woman.

 

  • clothes / style of dressed:

 

She had a very well-pleated veil and a cloak which was really elegant. Moreover, she wore a rosary and a shining golden brooch.

 

  • education and manners:

 

She attended the Stratford-at-Bow convent, she spoke French very well and elegantly. She was very fond of etiquette, she had great pleasure in having good manners when eating since she was able not to spill or drop the food, leaving her clothes clean. She was a person of esteem, very full of charm and really sensible. Her behaviour was pleasant and warm, full of charity and pity

 

  • experience of life:

 

Against Church's rules, she kept some dogs in the convent. She fed them with meat, milk and white bread.
