1) OPINIONS

  • (Peter advised Sandra)  to stay off that situation. (He added that if she told Carol about the problem)  she would be really upset.

  • (Sandra thought that ) she should inform Carol about the kiss between Carol's boyfriend and Sharon Bates.

2) LINGUISTIC FUNCTIONS

Sandra: Yes, I don't trust Terry, I've never really liked him. But now I'm not sure what to do. If you were me, would you say something to Carol?

Peter: No, I wouldn't. My advice is to stay out of it. If you tell Carol, she'll be really upset.

3) ARGUMENTATIONS

  • Peter's argumentations were that:

If Sandra told Carol, she would be really upset;

It was none of Sandra's business and if Sandra got involved, she would be sorry.

  • Sandra's argumentations were that:

If Sandra's boyfriend did something like that, she would want to know about it.

She didn't trust Terry and she had never really liked him.
