Day by day, the man must face an unknown nature: not all men can do this.

Defoe gives us the effect of the true.

An important argument of the story is the comparison of two different cultures.

This is an epistolary novel.

The reader imagines the story just by Pamela's point of view, so he is limited.

The story is about a virtuous girl called Pamela.

Robinson is described by his actions; Friday is described by his body.

The protagonist of the novel is Tom Jones, a foundling who was adopted by a rich man.

The secondary character is Sofia, an obedient and respectful girl that fall in love with Tom Jones.
