SCAFFOLDING:
Scaffolding is a system of temporary platforms used by workmen during construction or repair of a building.
This title suggests to me that in the poem it speaks about the hard work of the bricklayers building a house or something like that. But this is a superficial idea... so I think that scaffolding means a complicated situation people fell in. And it is too difficult to solve it. So when I read scaffolding I imagine a hard situation because scaffolding is a complicated building.
Another connection with this word is to think about the antlers of a deer. So if the answer is this I thing the novelist would speak about animals and about his experiences with them or the feelings...
Scaffolding means in my mind a fragile building, so I think about the fragile feelings of the writer about his love with a woman. Another meaning of this title is, in my mind, the mental process to to do something.
DIGGING:
In the vocabulary to dig means the process of archaeological excavation or when somebody digs in his garden or in his vegetable garden. But when I see this word in a title of a novel I immediately think about the hard work of a farmer in his land that the writer would speak about.
Another thought is the death, because when you have to be buried, people have to dig a part of land to bury you. So if an author wrote about this topic, he would explain the feelings and the situation he have found when a parent or another person died.
SE QUESTO E' UN UOMO:
When I read this title, I immediately think about a man that spent a lot of time in a bad and difficult situation. I know that this title belongs to Primo Levi's book and it influences me in the analyse. I think the novelist had written this book to explain the situations he found and he would write his hard life-story.
