Textuality » 3A Interacting
SCAFFOLDING
I can recognise the word "fold" wich means the act act of folding; for example: "he gave the napkins a double fold". But also: A pen for sheep.
If the word is an important thing in the poem or novel, it may be about animals, or a froup of people or things.
Scaffolding means also a temporary arrangement erected around a building for convenience of workers or more interesting. I made another hypothesis, so the poem may be about people involved in bad situatuions or otherwise the writer might explain his ideas about scaffolding.
Hypothesis:
-about animals, or a froup of people or things.
-about people involved in bad situatuions.
-about scaffolding.
DIGGING
The title recalls to my mind a progressive aspect (-ing) so I think of something dynamic that changes that is not stable.
For the verb: "to dig"
Digging is the act of digging; "there's an interesting excavation going on near Princeton."
Traslate in Italian, "to dig" means: scavare, vangare, conficcare.
It take place in this category tree:
act; human action; human activity
╚activity
╚creation; creative activity
╚creating by removal
╚excavation, digging, dig
Hipothesys:
The poetry may be about something bad, because "digging" is a verb that means hard manual work or to cut into something.
- description of a job.
- to explain this manual activity.
- a killing of someone.
- to built something.
- a fight with someone.
SE QUESTO è UN UOMO
The title is an if closes, but the period is incomplete. It seems the writer comments a person and he makes a question in the reader: Why does the writer doubt of it? Why he isn't sure?
On my opinion he looks at someone's feeling and comportament, but he doesn't find on these something of "human".
He left the reader free to judge the situation at the end.
On my opinion this title underlines lots of negatives aspects of the people.
The poem may be about something negative in the human aspect. We aren't animals because we are more intelligent and we have more feelings than they, but there are some situations where persons don't behave like "humans".
The indefinite pronoun "questo" gives a very generic meaning of the subject and seemes that it is like an object without will-power, animal either.
Hypothesys:
- description of a person with difficult personality.
- description of a situation that makes persons not like "humans".
- a confrontation between persons.
- a confrontation between a person and another thing.
- a biography.
