1) SCAFFOLDING
To tell the truth "scaffolding" refers to:
- a system of scaffolds;
- temporary arrangement erected around a building for convenience of workers or more interesting
- entity;
- artefact;
- instrumentality, instrumentation;
- system;
- staging.
The title made me think about:
- sustaining something;
- helping people when they can't do something;
- some supports that can help somebody to reach anobject;
- a connection, a contact between two different things.
2) DIGGING
To tell the truth "digging" derive from to dig and it refers to:
- Dig, jab= the act of touching someone suddenly with your finger or elbow
- Excavation, digging, dig= the act of digging
- Short, shaft, slam, dig, barb, jibe, gibe= an aggressive remark directed at a person like a missile and intended to have a telling effect
- dig, excavation, archaeological site= the site of an archaeological exploration
- get the picture, comprehend, savvy, dig, grasp, compass, apprehend= get the meaning of something
- jab, prod, stab, poke, dig= poke or thrust abruptly
- dig, delve, cut into, turn over= turn up, loosen, or remove earth
- excavate, dig, hollow= remove the inner part or the core of ...
- dig, dig out= create by digging
- labor, labour, toil, fag, travail, grind, drudge, dig, moil= work hard
The title might be about:
- digging up in the past memories, emotions and bad and good situations of life
- an archaeologist who digs to found an ancient object
- somebody who digs in the vegetable plot to put plants then.
3) SE QUESTO È UN UOMO
The sentence of the title is not complete so you can imagine a lot of things about it.
The title seems to hint at a situation where a man is in a predicament. The poem might be the story of a man who has lived very difficult and complicated situations including humiliations of his dignity or something like that. Maybe he's tired of his life and he would like to change it in some ways.
Instead of this opinions the title recalls to my mind a man who has lived his life with courage.
