In the poetry "My Daughter" Antoinette McDonald speaks about her relationship with her daughter. She asks herself some questions, for example if she has done something wrong, if she would see her again or where her daughter might have gone; she is worried about her daughter.

So this is a reflective poem because the writer thinks about her actions during her daughter' education and she wishes her daughter will forgive her and she hopes she returns home.
