Up to Text analysis. First Step.
I am now going to carry out the structural analysis of the poem My Daughter.
The poem is made up of 4 stanzas.
In the first stanza the speaking voice introduces the problem.
The function of the second stanza is to inform the reader about the relationship between the speaking voice and the daughter before the daughter left home.
The third stanza explains the possible cause of the problem.
The fourth stanza provides a possible solution of the problem.
