Antony, a roman triumvir, lives in Alexandria with his mistress Cleopatra, the Queen of Egypt, trough married to Fluvia. Octavius Caesar, another triumvir, is disgust at his lifestyle and at the wars caused by Antony. So Octavius calls him to Rom. After Fluvia dies of an illness, Antony marries Octavia, Octavius' sister. Then Antony leaves her to live with Cleopatra. After that Octavius wants to attack the Egypt.
Later Antony asks help Enobarbus and Eros, his friends. The first fights with Caesar's command and kills himself because he feels remorse for leaving Antony. Then the second cannot help him and kills himself.
At the end Antony kills himself with his sword and Cleopatra kills herself with a bite of a snake to fall not under Caesar's command.
