 Considering the title I expect that the poem tells about adolescence.

It could refer to a teenager and his or her thoughts or his (or her) life in this particular moment (the adolescence).

In this text I could find, beside the teenager' s thoughts, also his or her feelings.

It could also describe what the adolescences is.

 The text tells about the difference between the needs that the speaking voice had when he was a teenager and the needs that he has now that he is an adult.

In fact the first and second stanza describe the teenager's behaviour and his habits... he used to rest during the afternoon and he found peace!

But in the last stanza the speaking voice is grown up person and he doesn't find peace!

 The poem is divided into three stanzas: three quatrains.

The first one explains the habits of the teenager. He quietly lays during the afternoon.

The second stanza continues to describe the teenager's habits. In fact he lays in the open spaces. In this way he could find peace.

In the last stanza the teenager is grown up and teels his adult's life... he doesn't find peace!
