SHAKESPEARE: " ROMEO AND JULIET "
I wonder why Shakespeare has success in all times...
Shakespeare is considered the most relevant playwright of the Renaissance. There is no sure information about his education because of the lock of documents.
As far as Shakespeare's works we know that he wrote 145 sonnets included in "The Tottel's Misellany", and comedies . Considering the dramatic production he wrote a lot of tragedies included in"Great tragedies" : "Machbet", "Hamlet", "Antony and Cleopatra" and "Romeo and Juliet".
He explained the reason why he wrote about Romeo and Juliet's story to me. He wrote this tragedy at the beginning of his career. He was attracted by love stories. As a mater of fact the play deals about two teenagers . They immediately fell in love , but Juliet were going to married another man . However Capulet's family fought against Montagues's one the two lovers wanted to get married. Here begins the tragedy... Juliet visited Friar Laurence for help, and he offers her a drug . In this way she will be dead for four hours . Theoretically a messengers had to inform Romeo about Juliet, but the messengers didn't reach Romeo. So the protagonist bought poison and went to Capulet crypt in which stayed Juliet's body. After few hours Juliet woke up and sow Hamlet... and so she really killed herself .
Shakespeare's works haven't times, as a matter of fact they refers to all historical period.
I also wander what's Shakespeare peculiarity?
His peculiarity is the use of language and stiles to convey different effects. For example Juliet's speech underlines that Juliet isn't a typical Renaissance woman, as a matter of fact he isn't modest and he isn't subdue to her father's order.
Another important peculiarity is that Shakespeare. took distance from Catholic religion .For example suicide was condemned to hell.
These are the reasons why Shakespeare is famous in all times...
