"Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare
Everybody knows the story between Romeo and Juliet written by Shakespeare. He tells a story of two noble families Montague and Capulet of Verona that hate their selves. Paris wants to marriage Juliet and he goes dancing mask, and Juliet's mother wants to convince her to accept his offers. Romeo is in love with Rosaline belongs to Capulet, so Mercuzio and Benvolio want to destract him and go dancing. Romeo meets Juliet. They speak and fall in love. After the dance they meet under Juliet's balcony and they state their love and they decide to marry their selves. The next day Friar Laurance unites them. Tebaldo belongs to Capulet and he wants to fight with Romeo, but he refuses and he fights with Mercuzio that dies. Then Romeo kills Tebaldo. Romeo has to go to exile, but he escapes to Mantova. As Juliet has to marry Paris she takes a potion that makes she to seem died. Romeo has to reach she and then they can escape to Mantova. He arrives then because Mantova is under quarantine for plague. Romeo knows the death of Juliet and he procure himself a poison to die. After kills Paris he dies, but Juliet wakes up and kills herself. The families are reconciled with blood of their children and end the war between them. Shakespeare focuses his attention on five themes in the play. They are passion, clash, destiny, love and death. The play is a comedy and a tragedy, because many scenes promise a good end, before Mercutio's death there is a comic atmosphere, but after his death the play and when Friar Laurence gives a solution to Juliet to met Romeo. After that there us a shift from hope to despair and the play becomes serious and tragic, as a matter of fact the lovers die at the end. Besides Shakespeare uses different forms of poetic language during the play. There are 14 lines prologue in the form of a Shakespeare sonnet and much of it in strict iambic pentameter. Friar Laurence uses sermon and sententie forms and the Nurse uses black verse. In the end when Romeo and Juliet meet are used contemporary sonnet form. This story is adapted to every people that like love and clash.
