The director chose that speaking voice because to narrate the relation ship between Anna and the King and different traditions of Eastern and Western from a external view. 3.What is the tragedy the result of? Why does it happen? The tragedy is the result of the relation ship between Tuptim and Balat. She is a concubine of the King and she not untroubled because she loves Balat and they can not see themselves. Balat becomes a monk and she decides to becomes a monk too, because she thinks he does not recognizes she. Tuptim goes in Balat ’s room and they are discovered.
