Reading the title the reader may think that somebody is witched by a picture; in addition the word "witchcraft" is organized by the two words: witch (strega) and craft (abilità): it means  "sortilegio".
In addiction the reader asks himself how a picture can play a witchcraft on somebody.

The poem speaks about  two lovers: he wants to leave, and the two lovers express their feelings in two different ways: the woman cries. The man expresses his feelings feeling guilty and in a shame and he believes the woman is killing him through negativenimages about him: he look at her sight and realizes his image is damaged

However he is going to leave her: he thinks all pictures will disappear and he won't suffer because of them; the image she will keep in her heart will be preserved  from resentment.

The poet recalls the idea of passion in lovein the second line, when he says " pitty my picture burning in the thine eye". When the poet look into his lovers eyes he sees his picture that is burning. I think the poet uses the word "passion" because he wants to express the idea of passion

The poet expresses also the idea of pain in love: as a matter of fact he uses words like drown, teare, mard, kill, tears, feares and malice. These words recall the idea of pain.

Last but not least is the idea of feeling inappropriate of the poet: the reader can understand that because the poet says " I looke lower"... Looking lower is the symbol of the feeling inappropriate, because who feels himself inferior than someone else cannot see him in the eyes.
