Witchcraft bey a Picture
A picture is something that rest as it is for eternity, it is the reflection of something and it's rather unusual for it to have such a power on a person.
The poet says he sees his image into his mistress's eyes and he doesn't like that reflection of him so he changes his look down. His portray fall drowned in water, so we understand that she is crying. The reason of her pain is the fact the man fears her, fears he is not her equal so he wants to escape. Even if she continues crying he leaves her because he wants to save his self respect, his manhood.
